💛 About the Program
Being a single parent takes strength, sacrifice, and faith. The Atlanta Rise & Thrive Program was created by We Have Us (WHU Tribe) to support hardworking single parents in Atlanta who are doing their best but still face financial challenges.
Many parents earn too much to qualify for government assistance — yet too little to stay ahead. Rise & Thrive bridges that gap by providing $50 financial gifts to selected single parents each month to help with groceries, gas, school supplies, or other daily essentials.
💵 What You’ll Receive
Selected applicants will receive a $50 cash gift, sent directly through PayPal.

Funds are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis each month, depending on donations.

Once selected, recipients must wait six months before reapplying to allow others the same opportunity.
💡 You must have or create a PayPal account (under your name and email) to receive funds.
🌍 Who Can Apply
You may be eligible for the program if you:
✅ Live within the City of Atlanta, Georgia
✅ Are a single parent (male or female) with at least one dependent child
✅ Earn slightly above the Federal Poverty Line but still struggle to meet daily needs
Example: A single parent with one child (household of 2) earning between $20,441 and $30,660 per year qualifies.

📌 Applicants who receive SNAP or other government benefits may still apply during emergency cycles (e.g., government shutdowns), when eligibility is temporarily expanded.
🧾 What You’ll Need to Apply
To keep things fair and easy, we only ask for simple information. Depending on the month’s funding cycle, you may be asked for:

Proof of Atlanta address (driver’s license, utility bill, or lease)

Proof you’re a single parent (birth certificate, school record, or self-attestation)

Proof of income (recent pay stub or self-attestation)

Your PayPal email (must match your application email)
🪄 How It Works

Apply Online: Complete a short form — it only takes a few minutes.

Get Added to the List: Your name remains on our waiting list until selected.

Notification: If chosen, you’ll receive an email or text from WHU Tribe.

Payment: $50 will be sent safely through PayPal.

Reapply: After six months, you may reapply for another round of assistance.
