The Story of We Have Us

Founded in 2021

We Have Us is a transformative social movement founded in 2021. We embrace a strategy of empowering urban and impoverished communities from the inside through outside.  We believe when we restore from from within, the first positive impacts are more realized and long lasting.

Our founder had a dream to, one day,  empower low income communities by influencing behaviors that would help transform these communities into thriving communities.  What started as a dream, quickly manifested into actionable items that have since been adopted in the form of outreach. With the help of volunteers and those extending beyond the Atlanta area, these dreams have been made real and  are influencing change all over the Atlanta and surrounding areas.   Together, with our allies and partners, We Have Us engages and mobilizes activists and leaders from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Why this movement:

We noticed there was a lack of non-profit involvement that included all those who fall under the category of the oppressed. We noticed the need to create solutions beyond conversation.

When the founder, 'YHshira' Chioma Azubuike, began hosting live content on a popular live social streaming platform, she quickly realized how much truly needed to be done to make this world a better place. She connected with many people and built strong bonds.

The conversations YHshira had with  the members of that online community helped her realize the importance of community involvement when trying to develop solutions to issues plaguing oppressed people.

After months of gathering resources, and hours of observational research, birthed "We Have Us"

We're going social:

We Have Us is building an online community of people who simply want to do the right thing. A community of people who focus their energy on kindness and love. This platform is a place to connect with volunteers who have similar volunteer interest, join our volunteer activities, and post your own local opportunities near you.

It's not all work - there is time for play. Connect with people who are different from you. Learn something new about someone you wouldn't likely come across on an average day.. Get to know what makes all of us similar, while embracing differences.

We encourage each user to be active and tell a friend to tell a friend.

Remember... It takes a village!
