What’s for Dinner: “Community Meal Share”

Hello Tribe,

I hope you all are blessed. I wanted to propose something to the neighbors in our local communities.

In Atlanta alone, 1 in 4 children are living with food insecurities. This number has increased 17.5% in some households, post pandemic; this means, a lot of families are not provide a stable food source for their children.

Many of the families included in this percentage are people who make just enough money to disqualify them from government benefit and sometimes lead them to homelessness.

I thought of this real cool idea to start a meal share program where families who just need some food for the day or need to borrow some butter are able to connect with a neighbor who can help. All those interested can become Food Serve Certified through WE HAVE US, and be able to use this time a volunteer hours or community service hours. If interested, please let me know.
