Our Social Movement

Empowering the Oppressed

Founded in 2021, We Have Us is a social / urban empowerment organization focused on empowering the oppressed through education and resources. Our primary initiative is  to restore oppressed communities giving them the ability to thrive.

To support our initiative,

WE HAVE US is building an ecosystem of change focusing on 6 key factors: food insecurities, financial literacy, agricultural awareness, educational disparities, environmental issues, and community engagement.

The WHU ecosystem organizes and facilitates the distribution of resources to low-income and underserved communities across Atlanta.

Together, with our partners, city officials, and community advocates, WHU works to reverse the effects of generational poverty and rebuild broken homes through our outreach.

Here are just a few programs that support this ecosystem.

  • MealTimes at the Park a program to combat homelessness in Atlanta

  • SummerMealTimes is a program to feed needy children throughout the summer months

  • Herban Grow: "A Better Way to Live" a program teaching the importance of self-sustainable food sources and healthy eating

  • Books are Toys a kids book club for ages 4-17. children ages 4-6 will have the opportunity to learn to read through TRY MY WAY PHONICS, a Black-owned reading program proven to have your child reading before the age of 4.

  • Wealth Building Now financial literacy classes for minorities

  • Woman to Woman a round table conversation that focuses on surviving womanhood

  • Single Parents Connect for single parents, wanting to connect and find ways to overcome single parenthood.

  • My Own Home for minorities pursuing homeownership

  • I Learn 2 for parents who want to learn basic and advanced math and science to better help to their children during homework

  • My Unique Child for parents who have children overcoming developmental delays.

We are making this global! Oppression is not just an American issue, it's a world issue  WE must solve.  #WeHaveUs

WE'RE MAKING THIS SOCIAL!

As of April 2021, WE HAVE US is now offering this space as a social platform, giving users a positive space to network. WE HAVE US believes in the importance of Love. Love is at the center of everything we do. In alignment with this. we have created groups where users can connect with one another, discuss current issues, post about their own community efforts, and find local and global volunteer opportunities. Remember to tell a friend about WE HAVE US -- "The New Way to Social Network!"
